Horse Panic – experimental theatre

The premiere of Balogh’s Horse Panic for speaker and 5 wood-blocks played by Niké Kurta & Tamás Schlanger. The piece is based on Edina Szvoren’s short story entitled the same. The program contains pieces composed by Péter Tornyai as well. The concert is part of the Transparent Sound Festival.

Premiere of ‘Françoise Gilot en Afrique’

The world premiere of Balogh’s piece composed in the African ‘wolof’ language as reflection to Francoise Gilot’s trip to Senegal. The piece is composed for reciter, flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano and entitled ‘Françoise Gilot en Afrique’. It will be played by Máté Bán, Péter Szűcs, Éva Osztrosits, Tamás Zétényi, Fülöp Ránki & the composer as reciter.

*Ostdeutsche Autofantasie is a piece for tuba and piano. It is a program music based on the soundscapes of three East-German cars: the Trabant 601, the IFA W50 and the Wartburg 353. It was commissioned by and dedicated to Roland Szentpáli.
