Gilgamesh-Recitations can be regarded as an instrumental transcription of five phrases taken from the Gilgamesh, in the translation of Andrew George. The textual phrases are used as gestural skeletons of the musical phrases.
The piece won the 5th Prize at the 1st Gilgamesh International Composer Competition (Los Angeles).
